Police search for Rite Aid robbery suspect

WALDORF, Md. (WUSA9) -- Officials are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a Charles County robbery of a Rite Aid drug store.

The suspect allegedly robbed an employee at the Rite Aid located in the 3300 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf, Md. on May 2 at 8:30 p.m., according to the Charles County Sheriff's Office. The suspect entered the store, approached a clerk, implied he had a weapon and demanded money.

The clerk complied and the suspect fled, according to officials. Witnesses said the suspect was about 6 feet tall, weighing about 250 pounds, was bald and had a beard. An image of the man was captured by a surveillance camera as he entered the business.
