Police: Mom and daughter found dead inside Md. home ID'd

OXON HILL, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man has been charged with two murders in Prince George's County on Saturday, police said.

Malcolm Thomas, 54, of Oxon Hill, was arrested in Wakefield, Va., awaiting extradition back to the county, police said.

The two women were found dead in a home on the 5500 block of Chloe Drive around 7:50 a.m. Saturday.

When police got to the house, they found the two women on the floor "suffering from trauma to the body," police said.

Police have identified the two victims as 83-year-old Eunice Brooks and 54-year-old Janice Marshall-Thomas. According to authorities, the victims are mother and daughter. All three lived in the same house in Oxon Hill. Thomas was married to Marshall-Thomas.

Police said, Thomas is still in Virginia waiting to be extradited. He has admitted to being involved in both of the murders, authorities said.
