Police: Md. work coach sexually assaulted autistic man

MILLERSVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Anne Arundel County police have arrested a man who they say sexually assaulted a 21-year-old male diagnosed with autism.

The victim disclosed that he was sexually abused by a staff member at Opportunity Builders -- a vocational training and employment services group for adults with developmental disabilities located at 8855 Veterans Highway in Millersville -- sometime between May 15 and June 15.

The victim said the abuse occurred while he was using a bathroom at Opportunity Builders.

The suspect, Gregory Phillip Chambers, is a supervisor and work coach at the Opportunity Builders facility. The 50-year-old from Glen Burnie, Md. was charged with Vulnerable Adult Abuse, a Third Degree Sex Offense, a Fourth Degree Sex Offense and Second Degree Assault.

Police say Opportunity Builders cooperated and assisted detectives throughout their investigation.
