Police investigate murder-suicide in Md.

HYATTVILLE, MD (WUSA9) - Police are investigating a murder, suicide in Hyattsville and Riverdale Park after two men got into an argument and one shot the other on Friday.  

Around 10 a.m., police responded to the 5500 block of 45th Avenue for the report of a shooting. When officials arrived, they found 29-year-old Delonta Surratt in an apartment building hallway suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene. 

A short time later, around 10:30 am, officers responded to the 5700 block of 48Avenue in Riverdale Park for the report of a shooting. Twenty-year-old Jabari Ball was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police say the Surratt and Ball were involved in argument when Ball shot and killed Suratt. Ball fled the scene and police discovered him suffering from what appeared to be a self-inflicted wound. 

According to officials, the Surratt was involved in a relationship with Ball's mother.
