Police: 3 bodies discovered in Capitol Heights

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) - Prince George's County police say the bodies of three adults have been discovered in an apartment in Capitol Heights.

Police say officers were called to the 5200 block of Marlboro Pike on Saturday evening after a 911 caller reported finding the bodies. Patrol officers who responded said the bodies of three adults were suffering from trauma. They were pronounced dead on the scene.

The victims are identified as 38-year-old Ortiz Ola of the 5200 block of Marlboro Pike, 33-year-old Weldon Mason of the 10000 block of Washington Boulevard in Laurel, and 33-year-old Staci Taneesha White of the 13000 block of Larchdale Road in Laurel.

Mason and White were coworkers and the two men were friends.

Investigators are trying to determine a suspect and motive in the case. Detectives are returning to the neighborhood Sunday to talk with members of the community.

"There are three bodies here. It's an intense amount of work on the investigators part to piece together what occurred here," Prince George's County police spokersperson Julie Parker said.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Prince George's County police.
