WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County Humane Society is looking for a home for Hennessey, a 3-year-old American Bulldog mix or Pit Bull mix.
Staff members say his sweet nature shines almost as brightly as his caramel eyes. He greets strangers and friends alike with fervent licks, kisses, and paws. With just a little encouragement, he will slide into a sit that quickly morphs into an invitation for a full belly rub.
Hennessey knows "sit", "leave it" and almost has the "Lie Down" command.
He also loves walks, jogs and playtime but he happily rests quietly in his crate when necessary. He rides beautifully in the car.
Hennessey's ideal adopter will have an energy level and enthusiasm for life that matches Hennessey' own. He is active but not hyper, energetic but not crazy.
Hennessey has lived successfully with our other female foster dogs but he is so people-driven that he could easily be the only dog in the house. He will be best in a home without young children.
Hennessey has been neutered and is up to date on all shots.
