MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD. (WUSA9) - An investigation is underway after a noose was found hanging from a tree in Montgomery Village Thursday, Montgomery County police said.
Around 9 a.m., officials received a call from someone who discovered what appeared to be a noose hanging from a tree.
The incident happened in the 18900 Block of Mills Choice Road in the Haron’s Cove neighborhood.
This is not the first time a noose has been found in the area. In May, two men were arrested after they hung a noose outside Crofton Middle School. Other nooses have been found at D.C.’s African American Museum, the Hirshhorn Museum and other places around The District.
