Md. woman stabs 19-year-old with scissors

WALDORF, Md. (WUSA9) -- Charles County Sheriff's Department arrested a 21-year-old woman for stabbing a 19-year-old with a pair of scissors Tuesday afternoon at a motel in Waldorf, Md.

Authorities said deputies responded to the Master Suites Motel located at 2228 Old Washington Road in Waldorf for the report of a stabbing around 1:39 p.m.

According to authorities, Anissa Latavia Henson, 21, of Fredericksburg, Va. got into an argument with a 19-year-old and pulled out a pair of scissors. Henson then stabbed the victim several times and fled from the room, authorities said.

The victim was taken to the hospital for the injuries. Authorities said the injuries could potentially be life threatening.

Deputies located Henson at a fast-food restaurant close to the motel.

Henson was arrested and is being charged with first-degree assault, and second-degree assault.

The stabbing is still under investigation.
