Md. suspects arrested in assault and robbery of teen

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Authorities arrested two teens in connection with an assault and stealing a 14-year-old's bicycle on Saturday afternoon in Glen Burnie, Md.

Police said they responded to the 7800 block of Bruton Drive in Glen Burnie for the report of an assault around 1:55 p.m.

Deputies said the victim told authorities two teenagers approached him and asked him what he had said to them. According to authorities one of the teens punched the victim, while the other took his bike. The 14-year-old and 16-year-old suspects then both ran away.

Police arrested both of the suspects without incident and the victim was taken to hospital for minor injuries.

Authorities arrested a 16-year-old from Pasadena, Md. He was charged as a juvenile with robbery, assault and theft under $1,000.

The 14-year-old from Glen Burnie, Md. was charged as a juvenile with robbery and theft under $1,000.
