Md. police investigate burglary and theft

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Frederick Police Department is looking for a suspect in connection with a burglary and theft that happened in the 100 block of Commerce Street in Frederick, Md. Sunday morning.

Police said deputies responded to the incident around 11:02 a.m. Authorities said a black man entered a secured fence to a parking lot and stole several items from a storage shed and parked vehicles.

After the complainant confronted the man, the suspect fled the scene, by stealing one of the parked cars and driving into the exit gate so it would open.

Police were able to find the stolen vehicle, however have not been able to locate the suspect yet.

The Frederick Police Department is asking for the public's assistance to help identify the suspect.
