Md. police charge 3 teens in burglary and bicycle theft

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Frederick Police Department charged three teens Monday in connection with a burglary and bicycle theft that happened in Frederick in the 100 block of W. All Saints Street.

Police said the teens went into a garage and stole bicycles. Authorities found the teens in the 400 block of S. Jefferson Street and arrested them. According to police, the bicycles were returned to the owners and the teens were charged through the Department of Juvenile Services.

Two teens were charged with second degree burglary, theft under $1000, and fourth degree burglary. The third was charged with theft under $1000.

The Frederick Police Department would like to remind all citizens to lock and secure sheds, garages and out buildings when left unattended. Citizens are encouraged to record the serial number of their bicycles and register them with the Frederick Police Department by using the following link:
