Md. police arrest suspect in stolen vehicle incident

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police arrested a Frederick, man for stealing a car on Saturday morning in the downtown area of Frederick, Md.

Frederick Police said around 9:07 a.m. an officer responded to the call of a stolen vehicle. Jeffrey Allen Williams,34, of Frederick, Md. stole a woman's car. The victim said when she went outside to find her car at 9 a.m. it was missing.

The victim described her car as a 1999, white in color Cadillac, with a Maryland registration.

Police were on a lookout for the car and the vehicle was spotted around 10:36 a.m. traveling in the 100 block of South Market Street. The car then went right onto East All Saints Street. The car was stopped in the 100 block of East All Saints Street, police said.

Williams was the only person in the car. He was then arrested. In addition to the car theft charge, authorities said Williams was found to be suspended and revoked and was issued the appropriate citations.
