Md. police arrest 2 in drug deal

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Frederick Police Department arrested two men in connection with a drug transaction that happened early Saturday morning in Frederick, Md.

The drug deal happened in the area of the 100 block of W All Saints St between two men, around 12:30 a.m., police said.

The dealer was arrested, authorities said. Police arrested another man, who tried to distract authorities, while the dealer was being arrested, police said.

The dealer, Alexander Ray Wedge, 20, of the unit block of Consett Pl. was charged with possession of a synthetic cannabinoid, possession of crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of paraphernalia and resisting arrest, police said.

Police also charged Barrington Randell Goines,52, with obstructing and hindering, disorderly conduct, failure to obey a lawful order, and resisting arrest.
