Md. pedestrian crash kills 59-year-old man

BLADENSBURG, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that happened in Bladensburg on Saturday and left a 59-year-old man dead.

Police said the crash happened in the 4500 block of Landover Road around 9 p.m. When they got to the scene, they found Peter Kehinde Adegbite of Bladensburg on the road with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said Adegbite was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Investigation shows that Adegbite walked into the path of a car going southbound on Landover Road. The victim was not in a crosswalk, authorities said. The driver stayed on the scene.
