MD man pleads guilty to robbing 4 Chipotle restaurants

BALTIMORE, Md. (WUSA9) -- A Montgomery County man has plead guilty to robbing four Chipotle restaurants.

Lamont Bonds, 26, of Gaithersburg plead guilty to armed robbery and brandishing a weapon in furtherance of a crime on Thursday, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland said.

The first robbery occurred on July 22nd of 2012, when Bonds robbed a Mt. Airy Chipotle of $5,000 with another suspect.

Bonds robbed three more Chipotle restaurants in Hagestown, Gaithersburg and Damascus over the next five months, stealing more than $15,000, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland said.

Bonds faces a maximum sentence of life in prison for brandishing a firearm during the robberies, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland said.
