Md. county website hacked with pro-Islamic State message

ELLICOTT CITY, MD. (AP) - The Howard County government website was hacked with messages supporting the Islamic State.

The Baltimore Sun reports that the hack was part of a larger attack on local government websites from around the country. A message left on the site on Sunday said President Donald Trump "will be held accountable" for "every drop of blood flowing from Muslim countries" and pledged support for the Islamic State.

The site was quickly taken down and remains offline.
