Md. correctional officer arrested for assaulting women

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Authorities arrested a correctional officer for assaulting several female coworkers over several months at the Anne Arundel County Ordnance Road Correctional Facility, in Glen Burnie, Md.

Anne Arundel County Police said they did an investigation on Thursday into allegations of a man exposing himself and committing lewd acts to his coworkers at the correctional facility, located at 600 E Ordance Road in Glen Burnie.

After interviews with his coworkers, authorities determined that the officer had been exposing himself to them over several months. Police said the officer kissed one of his employees against her will on one occasion.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Curtis Sylvester Godard, 51, of Severn, Md. Police said he was arrested Thursday evening without incident.

Godard was charged with two counts of indecent exposure, one count of second degree assault, and a fourth degree of sex offense.
