Man wanted in armed robbery of Md. liquor store

BROOKLYN PARK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Anne Arundel County Police are searching for a man in connection with an armed robbery that happened at a liquor store in Brooklyn Park, Md. on Friday evening.

Police said the robbery happened around 6:08 p.m. at Village Liquors located in the 700 block of Church Street.

According to authorities, the clerk said a masked, black man walked into the store and pulled out a handgun, while announcing a robbery.

Police said the clerk gave him money and then the suspect fled the store on 6th Street towards Baltimore.

Authorities searched the vicinity for the man, however were unable to find him.

The suspect is being described as a black man, in his mid- to late-twenties. He is between 6 feet and 6 feet two inches tall and weighs between 200 and 200 pounds. Authorities said, he was wearing a black mask at the time of the incident, black jeans and black and white tennis shoes. He also had a bandage on the lower half of his right arm, authorities said.
