Man sought in Md. credit card theft

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- The Frederick Police Department is searching for a man in connection with stealing several items, including credit cards from a vehicle and then using them at stores in Frederick, Md. on August 16.

Officers responded to a theft from motor vehicle report on August 16, that happened at the Frederick Keys baseball stadium parking lot, in Frederick City, authorities said.

The suspect broke into the victim's vehicle and stole several things, including multiple credit cards, police said. The suspect then used the stolen cards at a Target store, located at 5437 Urbana Pike, and a Macy's Department store, located at 5500 Buckeystown Pike.

Police said the suspect was caught on surveillance video.

The suspect is being described as a white man, with a heavy set and short hair. He was wearing a white baseball hat with no apparent logo at the time of the incidents. The suspect had a red polo type shirt on with a white t-shirt underneath, police said.

He had on black shorts and black Nike shoes on with a white Nike check.
