UPPER MARLBORO, MD (WUSA9) - Earlier this week, a Prince George's County school bus caught fire, in a story that's now been shared around the world.
At the time of the fire, there were 20 school kids were inside the bus. The driver saved them all.
For a second consecutive day, WUSA9 asked for public records about the bus's maintenance history.
County officials have not yet provided any. Instead, they threatened to call the police and told WUSA9's reporter they would "come after" him.
WUSA9 also asked where the bus was taken following the fire, and if we could see it. But officials are not sharing where it was taken. A freedom of information act request was filed to get some of these documents.
And WUSA9 will continue to press county leaders unless we know what caused this school bus to catch fire.
Investigators have said faulty brakes often start these kind of fires.
