House destroyed after explosion in Baltimore

Two house explosions in two days in the Baltimore area-and the homes aren't in the same neighborhood.

BALTIMORE, MD (WUSA9) - A house was destroyed Tuesday afternoon after an explosion in Baltimore, Md. 

The explosion happened in the 7400 block of Remoor Road around 2:12 p.m. Officials have issued a shelter in place for surrounding residents to check for any damage or dangerous gases. 

Officials say the house where the explosion occurred is destroyed and one adjacent house is heavily damaged by fire. Another house has structural damage due to the explosion. 

The cause of the explosion or extent of injuries is not known at this time.
