Hit and run leads to drug arrest

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- A Maryland man admitted to police that he had marijuana in his car after he was stopped for a hit and run accident.

On Wednesday, Ricky Fisher of Middletown Maryland hit another driver with his car multiple times between the 100 and 400 block of West South Street in Frederick, police said.

Police were able to track down Fisher in his vehicle in a nearby alley, police reported.

Fisher proceeded to tell the officer that he had struck the other vehicle, police said.

Fisher was arrested for failing to stop after an accident involving damage to another vehicle.

Fisher also told officers that he had marijuana in his car. The marijuana and related paraphernalia Were found in the glove compartment, police said.

Fisher was arrested and taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. He has been charged with two hit and runs, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and five payable traffic citations.
