Carraway appeared in a Prince George’s County courtroom Thursday after sending Circuit Court Judge Leo Green a letter complaining that his public defender did not adequately represent him and had not met with him in at least a year.

He demanded that state charges against him be dropped. However, in a court appearance, while being questioned by Green, Carraway said he now has no problem with his defense. Green ended the hearing.

Carraway pled guilty in January to federal child porn charges after investigators discovered he had made sexually explicit videos with students from the Dr. Sylvania Woods Elementary School where Carraway was a volunteer. He has agreed to a sentence of at least 60 years in prison. Carraway has not yet been tried on 270 state charges in Prince George’s County.
