Fire breaks out at Seneca Creek State Park

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WUSA9) -- Sky 9 flew over the scene of a brush fire at Seneca Creek State Park on Thursday afternoon.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services arrived to find about four acres of tall grass on fire along a stretch of power lines just off the 900 block of Clopper Road and between Game Preserve Road and Waring Station Road.

Officials say the wind fed the fire, which took two dozen crews to extinguish.

No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
