FBI searches for man and his girlfriend after MD stabbing

LANDSDOWNE, Md. (WUSA9) -- The FBI Baltimore Division and Baltimore County Police are looking for a man and woman who have not been seen since a stabbing that occurred Thursday.

The man, Rony Leonel Deleon has been charged with first and second degree assault and use of a dangerous weapon with the intent to injure, the FBI said. A warrant is out for Deleon's arrest for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

On August 28th a man was stabbed outside an apartment in the 3000 block of Bero Road, investigators said. The victim reported that Deleon had stabbed him. According to the victim, Deleon ran into the apartment her shared with Damaris Noemi Chavaz-Calderon, after the incident.

Chavez-Calderon has not been seen since August 28th. Authorities describe Chavez-Calderon as a Hispanic 24-year-old with black hair and brown eyes. Chavez-Calderon is about 5'5" tall and weighs 140 pounds.

Investigators are concerned for Chavez-Calderon's well being and believe Deleon has fled the state.
