Family displaced after Md. house fire

ABERDEEN, Md. (WUSA9) -- A firefighter was taken to the hospital and a Md. family has been displaced after a house fire Friday evening.

Authorities said the fire happened at 10:10 p.m. in a two-story home located at 801 Chelsea Road, Aberdeen, in Harford County.

It took an hour along with 50 firefighters to get the fire under control, deputies said.

One firefighter, suffering from minor smoke inhalation was taken to the hospital. The family living inside the home has been displaced and is being helped by Harford County Disaster Assistance along with Red Cross.

Deputies said the estimated loss is at $200000 for structure and $50000 for contents.
