Emergency work set for I-495 bridge in Md. this week

(WUSA9) -- While making pothole repairs, Maryland State Highway Administration crews found a problem with the bridge on I-495 over St. Barnabas Road in Prince George's County.

SHA officials say that starting Tuesday night crews will close lanes on the Inner Loop between MD 5 (Branch Avenue, Exit 7) and MD 414 (St. Barnabas Road, Exit 4) to address those problems.

Three left lanes will close at 10 p.m.and reopen no later than 5 a.m. from Tuesday through Thursday, according to SHA officials.

Crews will perform concrete deck work and repair a bridge joint.
