Crash leads to major delays on Bay Bridge

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Authorities say a head-on crash on the Bay Bridge has led to major delays. Three people were injured in the accident, police said.

The Maryland Transportation Authority reported shortly after noon Saturday that there were 5-mile backups in both directions. Drivers are being advised to avoid the bridge.

The crash occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on the westbound span, which was open for two-way traffic. At least two people were injured, and one was flown to a hospital.
