2 suspects wanted in Md. Motel 6 robbery

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police arrested one man and two are still wanted in connection with an armed robbery that happened on January 3 at the Motel 6 in Frederick, Md.

Frederick Police said they responded to the motel located at 999 W. Patrick St. for a reported armed robbery. Officers found a victim who was bleeding from his head.

The victim was inside the motel room with a woman when several men were invited into the room by the woman, police said.

One of the men demanded money and pointed a gun at the victim. Another suspect then hit the victim with a bottle and the third suspect took the victim's belongings.

All three suspects fled the motel on foot and later by car, police said.

On Wednesday Frederick Police said they arrested one of the suspects Cameron Jackson after a brief foot chase in the 1600 block of Rosemont Ave. Jackson was taken into custody without incident, police said. He was released after posting an $85,000 bond, according to authorities.

The other two suspects have been identified and are still being sought, police said. Warrants have been issued for the following charges: armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, robbery, theft: less than $1,000, and assault first degree.

Julian Griffith, 22 of Silver Spring, Md. and Shawn S. Johnson, 22 of Temple Hills, Md. are both wanted in connection with this robbery.
