2 arrested for stealing junk metal, water heater

PASADENA, Md. (WUSA9) -- Anne Arundel County police have arrested two suspects in connection with a burglary Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 4:16 p.m., police responded to the 7800 block of Mayford Avenue for the report of a possible burglary that had just occurred.

Police say a witness saw two suspects removing various types of metal from a home and staging them on the edge of the property. The witness was able to give police a partial suspect and vehicle description.

A vehicle matching the description was located going west on 205th Street. Police arrested 19-year-old Collin Tyler Redwine and 19-year-old Holly Marie Friend, both of Pasadena.

Police say Redwine and Friend stole everything from junk metal to a water heater.

Both suspects were charged with First Degree Burglary and Theft. Redwine also faces drug charges because he was found to be in possession of contraband used for heroin.
