Police: Man was abducted and robbed in VA

MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA9) -- A 53-year-old Manassas man was abducted and robbed in Virginia on Wednesday, Prince William County police said.

Officer were called by the victim, a 53-year-old man at about 8:13 a.m. Thursday, police said. The victim reported that he had been abducted at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in the 7700 block of Stream Walk Drive in Manassas, police said.

The man told police that he was in a parking lot when a gray car with a man and a woman inside pulled up. The man in the car offered to hire the victim for landscaping work. The victim then entered the car, police said.

The victim reported that the couple drove to a convenience store and then to a wooded area. When they arrived at the wooded area the male in the car grabbed the victim by his neck and held a knife to him, police said.

The man then searched through the victim's pockets and stole $280.00 worth of cash from the victim.
