Man shot, killed in Fort Lincoln area of NE DC

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Homicide detectives have been searching for clues overnight in the Fort Lincoln area of northeast DC, after a man was shot and killed late Wednesday night. 
Metropolitan Police officials say officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3100 block of Berry Road around 11:44 p.m.  Once they arrived on the scene police found a man outside, near a row of townhomes, suffering from gunshot wounds.  He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead around 12:17 a.m. 
Right now DC Police have no information to release on possible suspects or motive in the shooting.  
The victim has been identified as Timothy Lassiter.
