Man arrested in Va. for impersonating officer

FAIRFAX, Va. (WUSA9) -- Fairfax County police have arrested a man who they say was impersonating a police officer on I-66 at Fairfax County Parkway on Tuesday.

Mark Holt, 32, of Manassas, has been charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer, possession of fictitious identifications, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stun gun by a felon.

Police say that an officer performing a traffic stop on a vehicle noticed that the driver, later identified as Holt was wearing a badge around his neck.

Investigation revealed the badge to be fake and the driver to be in possession of other fraudulent law enforcement credentials, a stun gun and a firearm, according to police.
