Police hope surveillance leads to liquor store burglar

LAUREL, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police in Laurel are hoping surveillance video will lead to the arrests of three suspects in two separate burglaries over the last six weeks at a local liquor store.

Police say the Laurel Park Liquor store was burglarized on April 15 and March 5. The most recent burglary saw the suspects throw a brick through the front glass window to get inside the store before stealing more than $2,500 worth of top shelf liquor.

Detectives believe the same suspects broke in to the store in the same fashion in March before stealing more than $5,000 in liquor and cigarettes.

During both burglaries, a silver Dodge Caravan or Chrysler Town and Country mini van was caught on surveillance as a getaway car, police say.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Henderson at the Laurel Police Department Criminal Investigation's Division at 301-498-8002.
