GREENBELT, Md. (WUSA9) -- A Maryland man was sentenced Monday to 30 years in prison for having sex with a 7-year-old.
Officials say 21-year-old Anthony Palomino-Coronado, of Laurel, Md., will be subject to lifetime supervised release at the end of his sentence for sexual abuse of a minor to produce child pornography. He will have to register as a sex offender where he resides, where he works and where he may be a student.
According to evidence presented at Coronado's trial, Prince George's County police responded to a call for a missing 7-year-old girl on May 2, 2012. During the search, the girl was found next to a fence separating her home from Coronado's.
At the base of the fence on Coronado's side was an empty condom wrapper, officials say. The child was not wearing any underwear and told police that Coronado asked her to meet at his house.
The victim later told an FBI child forensic interview specialist that she had been in Coronado's home 10 times and that he had been engaging in sexual activity with her, including vaginal intercourse and taking pictures of her with and without her clothes, officials say.
During trial, on Nov. 20, 2013, the victim testified that Coronado had engaged in sexually explicit conduct with her and identified herself and Coronado in the child pornography picture found on Coronado's cell phone, as well as in the clothed pictures taken on May 2, 2012, in the basement of Coronado's residence, according to officials.
