Man in custody after barricade in Laurel

LAUREL, Md. (WUSA9) -- Laurel police officers say a barricade situation in the 100 block of Turney Avenue on Monday morning is over.

Officials started tweeting about the incident at approximately 8:30 a.m. Officials said that residents were asked to shelter in place and warned that some streets in the area may be closed.

At approximately 9:25, officials tweeted that a man was in custody. A woman suffered a laceration and was evaluated by emergency medical personnel. Officials did not immediately reveal how the woman was injured.
