Man charged in Laurel murder

LAUREL, MD (WUSA9) - A 30-year-old man has been charged in the March murder of a man in Laurel, Maryland, police said.

On March 25, around 5:20 a.m., patrol officers were called to the 13000 block of Edinburgh Lane for the report of a shooting.

When they arrived, they found 33-year-old Marvin Bryan inside of a car suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Patrick Andre Stran is charged first and second degree murder.

Police said Stran and Bryan had known each other for several years and were involved in an on-going dispute.

Stran was arrested in California on May 22. He has been extradited back to Prince George’s County. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
