Firefighters battle bus fire in Prince George's

LAUREL, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County fire officials say a small commuter bus caught fire in Laurel Monday evening.

Mark Brady with Prince George's County Fire says it happened on Laurel Bowie Road (Rt 197) and South Laurel Drive.

Brady says a tire blew while firefighters were on the scene, knocking one firefighter off of his feet and injuring his knee.

Tricia Bryan shared photos with WUSA9, which appear to show the bus melted into the asphalt and completely destroyed.
