LAUREL, MD. (WUSA9) - A second crash caused all northbound Baltimore Pkwy. lanes to close just north of 197, officials said.
These closures came only a couple of hours after another crash in the southbound lanes of the same area.
Two vehicles were involved in the second crash.
All lanes have reopened after a crash was blocking all southbound lanes of Baltimore Washington Parkway near Rt. 197 Tuesday morning, US Park police said.
Officials said that the first crash happened around 2:19 a.m. Ramps to and from southbound Baltimore Parkway at Rt. 197 were also shutdown. A man was critically injured police said. He had to be extricated.
Authorities said he was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The road was shutdown for about three hours.
