Thousands celebrate at Redskins Draft Day party

LANDOVER, MD (WUSA9) -- A total of 21,000 fans went out to Fedex Field for the Redskins Draft Day party Saturday afternoon.

It was a day of fun, food and entertainment. The highlight for fans in burgundy and gold was getting to see Quarterback Robert Griffin III back on the field to greet the fans as they chanted his name.

Fans got to meet current and former players including Darrel Young, Niles Paul, Adam Gettis and Ricky Ervins.

Saturday's turnout was 4,000 people shy of last year's event.
