Horse rescued from swimming pool in Va.

PHILOMONT, Va. (WUSA9) -- The Loudoun County Fire-Rescue team rescued a horse that was stuck in a pool in Philomont, Va. Tuesday morning.

Authorities said a rescue team responded to a house located at 36790 Jeb Stuart Road, in Philomont, Va. at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Crews learned that the horse did not belong to the homeowners. The horse had wandered into the backyard, walked onto the pool cover, and then got stuck in the water.

According to authorities, the crews were able to cut a path in the pool cover and help the horse out.
