Pedestrian hit, killed by train in Md.

GREENBELT, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County fire officials say a pedestrian was hit and killed near the MARC train station in Greenbelt Thursday evening.

MARC officials say the pedestrian was hit by a CSX freight train, not a MARC commuter train.

The train was headed from Jacksonville Florida to Ridgefield, New Jersey. The train has 52 cars, containing cargo and box cars containing loads of paper and other freight.
