Conspirator in MD brothel robbery and murder setenced

GREENBELT, Md. (WUSA9) -- A Maryland man has been sentenced for his involvement in a robbery, murder and, rape that took place at a Maryland brothel, the U.S. Attorney's Office of Maryland reported.

According to the Maryland U.S. Attornery's Office Ramon Miguel Cerros-Cruz, 24, of Hyattsville plead guilty to conspiring to rob a Hyattsville Brothel and was sentenced to ten years in prison on Wednesday.

On February 28th, 2007, Cerros-Cruz and his co-conspirators went to the brothel and demanded money, the plea agreement described.

According to the plea agreement Cerros-Cruz and his co-conspirators tied up the brothel's doorman, raped a brothel prostitute and searched the brothel for money. The plea agreement described that the co-conspirators stabbed another victim to death when the victim came to the brothel.

The plea agreement described that Cerros-Cruz and his co-conspirators then fled the scene.

Cerros-Cruzs' co-defendant Alexsi Lopez, 26, has been indicted and plead not guilty, Lopez is awaiting trial, the U.S. Attorney's Office of Maryland reported.
