Glutino Rosemary and Olive Oil Snack Crackers recalled for Salmonella

LANDOVER, Md. (WUSA9) -- Giant Food in Landover announced the removal of Glutino Rosemary and Olive Oil Snack Crackers after a recall by Boulder Brands, officials said on Tuesday.

The recall mentioned a potential Salmonella contamination. The following product is included in this recall:

Glutino Rosemary and Olive Oil Crackers, 4.25 oz., UPC 67852303861, Best By October 26, 2014

To this date, there has been no reports of illnesses to Giant. But, consumption of food contaminated with Salmonella can cause salmonellosis, which is one of the most common bacterial foodborne illnesses. These can be life-threatening, officials say.

The most common symptoms include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within eight to 72 hours. Other symptoms include chills, headache, nausea and vomiting that can last up to seven days, officials said.
