Pipeline protesters gather outside Sec. Kerry's home

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) – Friday morning, the Cowboy and Indian Alliance said it would hold a prayer ceremony outside Secretary of State John Kerry's Georgetown home to call on Kerry to reject the Keystone XL pipeline.

The group has participated in a five-day "Reject and Protect" campaign on the National Mall to urge President Obama to reject the Keystone XL pipeline as well as protect their land, water, climate, and tribal rights.

Friday, a WUSA9 photojournalist snapped this photo of the crowd gathered outside Secretary Kerry's home. Protesters are urging him to come to the National Mall and meet with the people representing communities along Keystone's proposed route.
