Crews respond to Georgetown building fire

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- D.C. Fire crews responded to a fire at a commercial building in Georgetown Wednesday.

Around 11:15, officials say they got a call for a fire at 1025 31st Street, NW. We're told crews were on scene a few minutes later.

Once the initial fire was put out, firefighters were checking for extensions and they found more fire in one of the walls.

It took firefighters about 45 minutes to put the fire out, officials say.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
