Md.teen arrested for carrying knife at Starbucks

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police arrested a 20-year-old for carrying a knife at a Starbucks in Frederick, Md. on Sunday.

Frederick Police Department said officers responded to the Starbucks located at 104 North Market Street, for a weapon complaint.

Officers were then directed to a teen sitting in the back of the shop, who possibly had a knife.

Police determined Devin Gene Linaweaver had a knife. Officers saw the handle of the knife coming from his waistband, attempting to be covered by other clothing.

Police said Linaweaver was taken into custody and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention's Center booking unit. He is awaiting an appearance before the district court commissioner, authorities said.

His charges include wearing/ carrying concealed dangerous weapon.
