Man in critical condition after motorcycle crash

FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) -- The Frederick County Sheriff's Office said a man is in critical condition after a motorcycle accident that happened on Woodville Rd. in Frederick County Md. Sunday afternoon.

Authorities said they responded to Woodville Rd. in the area of Mater Way around 1:05 p.m. for the report of a personal injury motorcycle collision.

According to authorities, the motorcycle left the northbound lanes and hit the guardrail before the motorcyclist was thrown off the motorcycle.

The Sheriff's Office said, Timothy E. Burdette, of Mt. Airy, Md. was operating a 2002 Harley Davidson.

Burdette was taken to the hospital in critical condition and is receiving treatment for his injuries.

Authorities said, some of Woodville Rd. was closed until 4:30 p.m. for the investigation.
