Family, friends honor victim of fatal hit and run

Remembering a young woman killed in hit and run

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD (WUSA9) - Family and friends gathered to honor a young woman in Prince George's County who touched their hearts.

Kishon Wiggons, nicknamed Keke, is a 23-year-old who was studying to be a special police offer. She was known for her passion and her big heart.

Her grandpa and brother tried to fight back tears Monday night.

This was something no one imagined. Wiggins was in a car with her friend when they got in a small fender bender this weekend.

Wiggins got out of the car and that's when she was hit by another car. The driver fled, but eventually turned himself in.

As they pray for peace, family and friends wiped away their tears and despite the pain, many reach out to hug one another and focus on the good memories.

Stylish, sweet and smiling is how many remember her. Those who miss her most raise their candles with one last message: We love you Kishon.
