Woman charged after road rage incident in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX, Va. (WUSA9) -- Nearly two weeks after she allegedly hit another vehicle with her car during a road rage incident, Fairfax County police have brought multiple charges against the female driver in that incident.

Julie Coryell of Woodbridge has been charged with attempted malicious wounding, hit and run and two counts of reckless driving after police say she intentionally hit a vehicle with her car after an argument on March 25.

The man in the other vehicle, a 19-year-old man who asked not to be identified when he spoke with WUSA9, said Coryell, 46, yelled at him and said he was 'from ISIS' and 'to go back to your country.'

Police originally did not intend to charge Coryell, but an additional investigation found there was probable cause to obtain a warrant against her.
